I am off to see MO'L in action at the AGM on Thursday in the Dublin Airport Radisson SAS hotel.

£30 for 15 kilos bag
£10 to pay by credit card
Future Airbus deal?!?!

I think the new baggage charges are unjustified and to be honest outrageous! If the weight was higher it would justify it!

That as well! But considering that Easyjet & Aer Lingus both offer 20 kilos for far less, it would be good to hear what O'Leary thinks of this.

What news ?

Summary news was as follows:
- MOL does not own a Visa Electron card - I asked him and he told me they are impossible to get from anyone or any bank in Ireland.
- the RyanAtlantic airline looks to be many many years away ...
- altogether no major news announced at all by MOL
- FREE tea and coffee and chocolate biscuits provided for all
- some irate shareholders eg a man from TEAM Aer Lingus staff
- someone complained about the 15 day check in period and they want it to be a longer period than that
- EasyJet is a 'Greek' airline
- no plans to fly to Turkey, Cyprus or Greece - too far!
- British Airways share price is worth 'bugger all'
- all shareholders received a free book called '100 Reasons to vote Yes in the Lisbon Treaty Referendum' in Ireland
- yes first time i have seen Bonderman in Dublin and he was not as good a meeting Chairman as Osborne

no intrusions this year. seemed to be a few hired security men in dark blazers in the lobby of the hotel so i think they have learned their lesson from last year.

Interesting findings! Anything on checked-in luggage weight to increase?

no discussions on checked in luggage weight apart from MOL saying that "the increase in the checked in luggage allowance is designed primarily for Mrs O'Leary, who always brings too much when they travel together". sorry i didnt get to ask a question on it becauase there were too many other questions asked!
