In flight Giving Change?

Post by aid59 on Sat 20 Mar 2010 - 10:56

I have been on 3 flights over the year from East Mid to Murcia and and all occasion have purchased a coffee on paying been told " sorry sir I dont have the right change ......is it all right if I come back later with the 10p" but then never coming back - is this an extra tax! or is the staff on a scam it not been the same person each time male and female

on my last trip last week within the seats around me she said this to 3 people and never came back with any change before landing

as anyone els had the same experience? (its only 10p but its the principle)

No, they really don't have change and they just forget. If you're so worried about the 10p, then ask for it!

It isn't arrogance just as it is not an extra tax...They 've forgotten (or they just wanted to forget) your change. I really buy almost nothing (except for water) to eat: in my opinion it is simply expensive junkfood. It could be useful next time to have just a little bit extra coins so you shouldn't have to wait for your change. I am sorry for aid59, I should have been pixxed off to for the principle, and it shouldn't happen nor on ryanair flights nor on the ground. In a perfect world.

I must say this has happened to me a few times .. but because its the odd 5p or 10p i don't bother... makes you think all this change adds up... i might ask for it back .. but if the crew are ok ..i'll let them have it for a tip lol.

My experience was better: on my last I ordered a snack (for 5€!) and the flight attendant forgot to collect the money. But because she was very friendly I paid after landing and she was very happy about it Smile
