Ireland to Murcia

Post by the drifter on Thu 8 Apr 2010 - 13:55

Hi all

I live in limerick have suffered from the recent pull out from Shannon. I now use Kerry and have no problems with this. However...the new flights from kerry flights go to Alicante. The old Shannon ones went to murcia....does anyone know wht the murcia routes were reduced?

i think its primarily a question of passenger demand ... lots more folks would like to go to Alicante which is on the coast, with great transport connections and lots of people have holiday homes nearby. murcia on the other hand i hear is a tiny airport, and is miles inland with very bad public transport and not many people have holiday homes there since it is so rural. i have been to alicante and I thought there was lots there - i have not been to Murcia but was told by others that the airport is in the middle of nowhere? http://www.alicante-spain.com/murcia-airport.html
