Which row ?
The whole Ryanair fleet is now made of 189 seats B 737-800, all with the same row and seats disposition.
Row 1 has three seats : ABC
Rows 2 to 33 (there is no row 13) have six seats : three on the left of the aisle (ABC), three on the right (DEF)
What are you row/seats of choice ?
Some prefer an aisle seat, C and D, and it's thus best to seat at the first or the last rows, in order to deplane amongst the firts ones.
- Row 1 is of course the first one. You are near the front door/emergency exit at the left; the galley and emergency exit at the right (and the front toilet). You have plenty of leg room; two crew members will seat in front of you for take off and landing, but you are not allowed to keep anything, bag or other, with you, they must go into the hold above. The trolley service for the first half will start here.
- Row 2 : seats DEF are just behind the front galley and have more leg room; no luggage on the floor at take-off and landing.
- row 11 : no window on the left side
- rows 16 and 17 are the two in front of the central emergency exits; also plenty of leg room, but no bag unless in the hold and no view below because of the wings; row 17 is where the trolley service will start for the rear half of the plane.
- in the last row (33) also, you are not allowed to keep any bag with you. The two rear toilets are behind you, and then the rear galley, the rear door/emergency exit at left, the other rear emergency exit at the right of the aircraft.
If you like to look outside during the flight, perhaps to take pictures, it's important not to take a seat above the wings or just behind, nor in front of the engines (poor view towards below). In short, before row 7 or after row 25. Better also not to be on the side of the sun during the flight. And have a tissue handy to clean the window if needed.
Some rows have the windows A and F just at the right place to look outside. I find that row 29 is a perfect one.
And you, what seats do you prefer ?

What a coincidence! My seats during my last 10 flights:
28E
26A
27A
9A
27F
29A
31A
29A
29A
29A
So I also think 29 is perfect. Just because you don't look on the wings and the window is perfectly located to take pics! (but 27 is also nice;))
I don't know why I almost all of the time choose A instead of F. Maybe that's my favorite side of the aircraft!

@Grad:
I think it has to do with your strongest half or the brain.
I use to sit on the F xD
If you don't want to take pictures, row 22 is often free, sometimes I had 3 seats for myself.

At 6 foot 5 tall and mainly in the legs, it has to be a race for any of the emergency exit row seats to be honest for me!

Re: Which row ?
i like an aisle seat near the middle; a good view of the inside of the plane, always more empty seats in the middle of the plane and more room up above for baggage ... less kids too.

Re: Which row ?
On most of my flights I sat in front of the aircraft (rows 6-10) and I think once or twice in row 26

Re: Which row ?
My favourites are definitely 4A, 4F, 6A and 6F. On these seats you have nearly two windows to yourself and you can hear the jet noise fantastically!
Too sad that some staff block these rows for balance restrictions...

Re: Which row ?
I have just sat on a flight at 1A, and it's not bad at all - you have a window just at your shoulder, plenty of leg room and you are the first to deplane !

Re: Which row ?
Seat 11A on Ruinair has to be the worst seat on the aircraft?
Does anyone know why there is no window at all there?
Its ideal for sleeping against but there is nothing to look at!

I like the seats by the wing, either in or in front of the emergency exits. And I prefer the aisle!

Re: Which row ?
I like an aisle seat, (I tend to use the toilet more than most pax) preferably 32D, or as near the back as I can get. Sometimes I take the notion to sit in 1A, B or C, which are also handy for the loo. By the way the no bags, kids or non-physically fit adults in the rear row rule was abolished about this time last year.
