Luggage

Post by xrach90x on Fri 4 Mar 2011 - 13:12

Hey!

Can someone explain what the following term means please

No pooling or sharing of baggage allowances is permitted, even within a party travelling on the same reservation. Pooling of an individual checked baggage allowance is not permitted even if you have two items of checked baggage (each item must be within its own prepaid weight allowance).

I have opted for one suitcase and paid ú20 whilst the other person just has hand luggage but both people's belongings are in the same case...are they saying you cant do this or does it mean something else

Ive never flown with ryan air before and havent the foggiest idea! does it mean im gonna get charged more at the airport...please help!!! we are only going for 2 days and dont want to take 2 cases!

Sorry for being dumb!

Technically it means you're not allowed, but this is the same story with every airline and everyone still does it. How are they to know whose socks are whose? Smile You'll be fine

No sharing of baggage allowance means : if you are 2 passengers travelling on the same reservation and have both paid for a checked bagage, the 2 baggages must each be inside the weight allowance. Not one bagage two kilos over weight even if the other is five kilos under weight.
Of course, if you have one luggage, you may put inside your fellow traveller's belongings - provided that you take full responsability for it, as you have to certify when printing the boarding passes.
