Post by teenee60 on Fri 8 Jul 2011 - 11:39

Hi, i have looked on the direct gov site for hand luggage restrictions, and it says knitting needles are permitted.
I have always thought they would be not allowed.
My elderly mum would like to take her knitting with her,so if correct thats great.
anyone heared of problems with them?

I don't think it's allowed either....they can be used as weapons. The Ryanair staff is not gonna look in your hand luggage, it's the security staff that you have to worry about....and in the UK they are pretty strict....
