Unable to log into the site

We booked a return flight to Alicante from Birmingham.

Flights FR 2152 Birmingham to Alicante and FR 2153 Alicante to Birmingham.

I did not book the flight and the person who did, did not request a confirmation email as they said there was a charge for this email.

I wanted to take a suitcase.
I went to manage the booking and put in my email - the one used in the booking process along with the date of the flight.
The site kept rejecting me saying the flight and the email did not match.
I kept trying and for some reason it accepted the details and I was able to check in, add a suitcase and get the ticket.

I now want the return ticket but I am having the same problem.

The email is being input correctly.
I have a reference number XG6GGT and I have the flight number and date.

I don't know what the reservation number is. I must presume it is not the reference number.
When I use my email address, (the one that let me in once) or the reference number, it will not let me into the website to sort the ticket and check-in.

What can I do?

Yes the Reservation number is the Reference number.

Don't give them ideas!
Do you believe this really that there is a charge for a mail? This is the only way to have a confirmation of booking!

Good luck for you, but this story sounds like a scam.

I did not book the flight.
I did get the outbound boarding pass.
It got me on the flight so it was valid and I got back into the system to book a suitcase in.
I did not receive a email and it was my email address that was used.

If I cannot get into my booking what is the solution?

Thanks I have tried that as well.

What if the person booking the flight put in the wrong email address - a mistyping?

Another option: if you have your boardingpass, then you (or your friend) had done the necessary for check in and then it's not more possible (after check in) to make changes on your reservations (to add priorty boarding, luggage...)

Maybe that's the problem?
