ryanair and cigarette blocks

hello. i have a question about the cigarette blocks that i can take with me from grand canaria. the canary iles. both in big baggage and the one i take to the plane. they are for personal use only. i found info where it says that i can take 3200 cigarettes which is 16 block. is it true?? thank you. sorry for my spelling.

Tobacco allowances - Arriving into the UK from a Non EU country.

You can bring in one from the following list:
200 cigarettes - Per Person.
•Or 100 cigarillos
•Or 50 cigars
•Or 250g of tobacco

arent canary iles count as eu country? no visas or anuything was requested.

also. what is someone mistakenly will take more cigarettes and they will search thru the bag and find them? what is the worst that can happen and what is the best scenario in that sittuation. i am in airoport atm and have far more than 200 cigarettes.

If you are caught with more than 200 cigarettes, they will take all of them off you... And maybe a fine.

There are a number of other islands or territories which, despite being within the “footprint” of the EU, or being sovereign states of those 27 members of the EU, are not within the tax territory of the EU. This means that whenever you are flying to those countries/areas listed below, you can buy relevant goods at “Duty Free” prices.

The primary destinations are: The Canary Islands - Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura (these are part of Spain), the Channel Islands - Jersey & Guernsey and Gibraltar (these are part of the UK).
